Bio

I was raised just south of Imperial, Nebraska and graduated from Chase County High School in 1989.  I attended the University of Nebraska Kearney and transferred to and graduated from Chadron State College in 1995 with a a degree in 7-12 industrial technology education.  I started teaching at Lewellen Rural High School in the fall of 1995.  I coached all sports 7-12 with the exception of high school basketball.  In 1997 Lewellen High School consolidated with Garden County High School and I taught here at GCHS, and at Lewellen Grade School.  I continued to coach at the junior high and high school levels. In 2001 I became the head football coach for Garden County High School. In  In 2002 I earned my masters in school administration from the University of Nebraska - Kearney.  In 2005 I became the athletic director for Garden County Schools. In 2007 I became the Junior High Principal and continued duties as the athletic director for the district.  In 2010 I became junior/senior high principal for Garden County Schools.  2019 was my last year as head coach here at Garden County, and the fall of 2020 was my 25th year living and working in Garden County.  The spring of 2020 proved to be something I would have never imagined could have happened to our community, the nation, and the world.  We continue to adapt instruction and are learning as a district. I am thankful that we now get to have school open, and get to see our students in person.  I am hopeful that will continue from this point forward.

I enjoy outdoor activities including hunting and fishing when I get the opportunity to.  I still enjoy woodworking and construction projects in my spare time also.
