Spelling Bee Buzz!

Garden County Junior High held its annual county-wide Spelling Bee on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. All students in grades six through eight competed in the written portion of the contest, spelling the same fifty words. Medals were awarded to the top three spellers in each grade level.

The top nine written spellers school-wide competed in the oral spelling bee. These included B. Iverson, L. McCarthy, D. Belden, D. Bleidt, K.Johnson, D. Kennedy, E. Epp, K. Vincent, and A. Heelan. Winner of that competition, and grand champion speller was B. Iverson, who will compete March 13, 2010, in Omaha at the Nebraska State Spelling Bee.
