Junior High Family Fun Night
On Friday night, December 12th, the Parent Advisory Council sponsored a family fun night for all junior high students and parents. There were 32 students in attendance.
Many parents came and watched for a while. About a dozen parents stayed the entire evening to enjoy watching the students play in the Wii tournaments or dance in the gym.
The students brought a wide variety of snacks and pop for all to share.
A Wii tournament was held in the 8th grade classroom. There was a 6th, 7th and 8th grade tournament battle going on most of the evening. The kids were in and out of the gym and back to the Wii game as it was their turn to battle for the top honor of 1st place winner in their class.
The gym was a buzz with students eager to dance. Mrs. Cotton, Mr. & Mrs. Stegman and Mrs. Jenkins, tried to keep the students happy with the music. Mrs. Cotton was a real sport by showing the students a few dance steps. Many group dances kept most of the students well entertained and dancing through out the evening.
The evening wound down at about 10:10, with the students asking if we could do this again in February or March, between basketball and track. Fun was had by all who attended.
