GCHS Gets Connected
One-to-One Laptop Initiative
September 25, 2008
Garden County High School's Laptop Initiative is in full swing. After about a month of school, both teachers and students are finding that "their" laptops are quickly becoming indispensable. Students and teachers use the laptops for classroom notes, to create multi-media projects, to communicate with each other and their teachers through our school e-mail (GAGGLE), for photography and journalism classes, and to upload and assess assignments digitally. While the district is still "working the bugs out", we are continually finding innovative ways to engage students in real-time, real-life learning experiences. Check out our slide show below for on-site photographs of students at work (and play)!
