MAP Tests at GCS
September 18, 2008
For the next few weeks, students at Garden County Schools will be busy taking their fall MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) tests. These tests are given each fall and spring and assist teachers in assessing individual student strengths and areas of concern in the areas of reading, language usage, science, and mathematics.
Partnering with NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association), GCS administers MAP tests as computerized assessments aligned with the Nebraska State Standards. Test results are immediate and allow teachers to help students set content area target goals for the rest of the school year. Individualized student progress reports will be made available at our October 20th Parent-Teacher Conferences. For more information, please visit the NWEA web site: http://www.nwea.org.
