Maddie Lake landed at 12' 4 1/2" in the long jump, earning her team ten points for her first place ribbon. As a seventh grader who competed in her first track meet ever, Kamry Kramer finished first in the high jump clearing 3' 5" with the cold and wind fighting against her. The first place in the 400M relay went to the team of Garden County girls.  Mallory Zorn, Kamry Kramer, Maddie Lake, and Kaylee Leach pushed hard finishing almost two seconds in front of the Potter Dix team. The girls 4x100 relay had smooth hand offs and strong runs as they finished with a 1:04.08 time.
Also placing at the Banner County Junior High track meet on April 4th were the following: Maddie Lake took second with a 0:33.43 time in the 200M dash, Kamry Kramer took second with a 0:15.07 time in the 100M dash, Kamry Kramer took third with a 12' 1 1/2" distance in the long jump, Kaylee Leach took third with a 7:34.82 time in the 1600M run, Kaylee Leach took third with a 3:26.26 time in the 800M run, Maddie Lake took fourth with a 0:15.53 time in the 100M dash, Mallory Zorn took fourth with a 3:28.22 in the 800M run, Montana Duffield took fifth with a 17' 2 1/4" throw in the shot put, Mallory Zorn took sixth with a 9' 10" distance in the long jump, Montana Duffield took sixth with a 43' 9' throw in the discus, and Josie Marquez took sixth with a 1:30.7 time in the 400M dash. The co-ed weight-mans' relay got third with Montana Duffield, Adam Hill, Keona Hill, and Trey Kirch.
The team took a close third place finish, but the girls are convinced that they would have placed as the runner-up if it was not for the unfortunate event of Kaitlyn Hunt getting sick that day.  Kaitlyn would have contributed several points to the team score in multiple events. The girls are ready to take on the bigger meets ahead, only to train and improve so they can shoot to place even higher at the MAC track meet at the culmination of the season.
