Garden County Schools (an EOE, VPE, and drugfree workplace) is seeking an enthusiastic elementary/middle school endorsed teacher with a science background for the 2015-16 school year. Interested and qualified professionals can contact Dr. Paula Sissel at psissel@gceagles.org or 308-772-0182. (The position is open until filled.)

Coordinated Health Council 5K a success!

The July 3rd CHC 5K event was well received, particularly by out of town guests! 67 participants enjoyed getting out and being active! Garden County Health Services' Foundation, Garden County Schools, and Volunteers of America-Western Nebraska partnered to sponsor this fun and healthy family event. Seven states were represented in the walk/run/bike/stroll activity! Special thanks to Sandhills Water for furnishing bottled water at the end, GC Health Foundation for the water midway, and to Dianna Lambert for marking the route. Granola bars and fruit were also enjoyed when folks finished. Hats off to all who helped and participated!  more

Garden County Public Schools receives early childhood education grant from Sixpence Early Learning Fund

The Trustees of the Sixpence Early Learning Fund announced last week that Garden County Public Schools will receive grant awards totaling approximately $100,000, beginning July 1, 2015. Sixpence awarded grants to sixteen communities to fund high-quality early childhood programs serving at-risk infants and toddlers across the state.  more
