School News at a Glance 
Garden County Schools are on holiday break from December 22-January 5. Classes resume on January 6th for students. Happy holidays!

Attention all parents! USDA guidelines and school policy do not allow students to charge meals. A SchoolMessenger will start going out weekly (each Friday) 
reminding parents if their account is over $25. Payment on the account will be expected by Monday or your child will need to bring a lunch from home. If payment is not possible, your child will not be able to eat hot lunch and a sack lunch will be provided. Please contact the school with questions or concerns.

Garden County Schools are seeking an energetic elementary teacher (with special education endorsement) for the second semester, starting January 5, 2015. If qualified and interested, please contact the Superintendent's office(308-772-0182). GCS are an EOE.

Garden County Schools (an EOE) has the following positions available:

Garden County Coordinated School Health works to bring together community organizations and members to promote health in our local schools. Volunteers of America – Western Nebraska is one important local partner with a health promotion mission. Cheri Farris, RYT- 500 is the Community Health Educator with VOA-WN and involved in Garden County Coordinated School Health Council.   more

Garden County Students Compete in Canstruction Contest

The judges included two architects and an engineer. The plaques for Canstruction Junior are BEST MEAL, MOST CREATIVE and STUDENTS’ CHOICE. In discussion with the judges this is what they decided.   more
